The Pink Orange had the opportunity to work on an elegant, yet creative and fun invitation design. It was all about incorporating natural, and green materials into the wedding. The letterpressed invite suite was sent in a moss lined wooden box, made from “found” wood. Each box was custom made, and hand stained to bring out the natural wood grain and knots. The box was created with 2 holes in the top, in which gorgeous 2 inch satin ribbon was used to tie the box shut.
The wedding accessories were also natural and reused materials. Each place card was made with recycled paper and a combination of hand calligraphy and twigs adorned the front of each. The table numbers were created using found pieces of birch bark and hand painted numbers with acrylics.
Using natural or recycled resources can be a fun way to add a twist to your day. Think about the textures and patterns that you will be incorporating, and how they can be used later either in your home or office. Most of all, have fun with it!
Unlike your typical “expo style” bridal events, The New York Wedding Affair provided guests with an intimate & lavish setting in which to meet the areas most celebrated & sought after wedding professionals.
Filled with lavish decor, innovative floral & tabletop designs, a grooms lounge, local wedding library, a dazzling runway of couture & so much more – the one-of-a-kind bridal show pulled out all the stops for a fabulous day held at Saratoga Springs Canfield Casino. For any bride that has this venue booked, they certainly are lucky! From the stunning architecture to the warmth of the sunshine flowing through the windows, I didn´t want to leave!
The Wedding Affair offered planning seminars and decor workshops as well as makeovers and manicures! Throughout the day, delicious sweets and appetizers were passed by some of the area´s most prestigious caterers. (I made sure to have my fill too)! If you have the chance, check out The Finger Lakes on February 7th, (The Pink Orange will be there) or the Hamptons, the Cape or the beautiful Hudson Valley all happening this late winter & early spring.

The Pink Orange creates a unique place card option using buttons with coordinating ribbon to display each guest´s name along with their table number. Various color and pattern combinations were used to replicate classic winners buttons. The invitation design was a crisp blue and brown letterpress invite on white stock. Each piece was tucked into a custom khaki pocket fold and tied closed with a leather strap. The pocket fold was then inserted into a classic plaid lined envelope.
