it’s a cupcake social
It’s no secret I’m not a huge fan of cake. I don’t know why, I just never have been. However, I have a sweet tooth and i do enjoy cupcakes and cookies. Well, I am very excited that I have been able to set up a sleepover weekend with Ellie, my 7 year old niece. (She is the inspiration behind my Ellie bird illustrations). I’m am just so darn excited. She loves to cook and “do art.” She told my sister…(and i quote) “I need to spend 2 nights at Aunt Rebecca’s and Uncle Chris’s because we get up very early to do art.” Well… 2 nights it is! I have been planning all of our art projects, but also cooking projects. She does love to cook too. So when I was reading one of my daily blog reads, i found Cupcake Social on Etsy and i think i’m going to order some for our weekend extravaganza.
hi rebecca…i just saw your post on ohjoy about the doors in greece and clicked on over…such a fun blog! i love cupcakes AND my niece and hope to have a cupcake and art sleepover with her when she’s a bit older (she’s only 3…but i guess it’s never too young to develop those passions).
Hi bussbuss! Thanks for the compliment! 3 is such a great age with your niece and it just gets better and better! She has been having sleepovers with me for awhile, she just has a stronger opinion of what she wants to do now!
