Sign your name

When we got married, we wanted a guest book, but we didn’t want a book. OK, so that is an oxymoron. Let me start over.

When we got married, we wanted something for people to sign and leave us notes and memories. We didn’t want a book because we figured we would never look at it again, it would collect dust. Since we added some elements of baseball to our day, we decided to buy one dozen baseballs and have everyone sign them! Our guests loved the idea, and now they have a home in a shadowbox in our dining room. (note: yes, those are indeed Yankee and Red Sox hats, and that my friends, is a marriage made in baseball… well.. you can fill in the blank) :-)

I recently came across the website Cut the Cake Designs and found the cutest recipe-like boxes that guests can leave a memo, life advice or whatever they want for the bride and groom. I love that they can be customized to your colors and style. I love that is a fun variation on the classic guest book and so often when working with brides we talk about all aspects of the wedding and how i can help right down to these fun details.
