My husband and i usually go to the market each week together. I do love meal planning, experimenting with new recipes and trying new food. He is away this week, and by habit i overbought at the store. So i found myself splitting and freezing much more food than normal! So i tried to be all organized and remember what was in each package but i’ll never remember. And you know, as a designer, i need something pretty and fun to label the food! So i went into the studio and whipped up these tags:

appy Monday my friends! Notice something different? That stunning capital ‘H’? The amazing drop cap? Saying that word brings me back to my art school years, and Quark. Drop caps can be a beautiful solution for an undoubtedly tricky design situation. Enter Jessica Hische and her Daily Drop Caps. While they are designed solely for sprucing up your blog, they are beautiful inspiration and something lovely to look at when you log onto your computer each {work} day! I can’t believe that i hadn’t heard about Drop Caps until recently, but thanks to one of my daily reads Twig and Thistle, i was lifted onto the design wagon! You have to scroll back into the archives and see past drop caps. Each one is mesmerizing, unique and just plain beautiful.

Happy, happy Friday everyone! What a fun week back to work. New projects, new friends and new a new bride! I have some goodies to photograph, but to be fair to the brides, I want them to see their invites first. I’ll be excited to share. Think beautiful and elegant for fall, with shades of gold, blush and ivory! They are just so lovely. The envelopes are at the calligrapher now getting the final touches!

Have a lemonade party!
There is nothing better than a tall glass of lemonade. {Spiked or not}. A lemonade stand, a bbq, a little girl’s birthday party or a bridal shower sprinkled with yellow and lemons!
Whatever the event this summer, i hope you are enjoying the yumminess of fresh squeezed lemons, the taste of summer and all that goes along with it!

Good morning friends!
I’m trying to get back into the swing of things and play catch-up since being away from the studio. It is always tricky, but i’m just about done answering emails and planning the weeks of summer and summer weddings.
