It’s the little things
Ilissa, the owner of Binx had sent me a link for the coolest book a long time ago. I had put it in the back of my head and in my favorites/shopping area of my bookmarks. I knew i would go back one day for it, but i tell myself constantly..”priorities Rebecca, priorities.” Ilissa knows of our adoption plans and so sweetly remembered how much i adored the book when she sent the link. I need it i told her. I mean, what designer wouldn’t want a book filled with fabulous typography!? And for a baby? A must have.
Yesterday my mailman dropped off the prettiest little package. Ooo-la-la! The wrapping was fun and puffy. I quickly tossed aside the junk and bills and opened up the book from Ilissa. I seriously had tears in my eyes. Her heartfelt note thanking me for her logo and my support of her new endeavor really meant the world to me. I really love what i do, and it is clients like Ilissa that i am so lucky to interact with on a daily basis that just make me so incredibly happy!

Logo reveal: Binx
I am so pleased to reveal a new logo design to you all! When Ilissa came to me about designing her logo I was thrilled. You see, Binx is in the concept stage right now. However, the concept is great and a much needed store in this area. Binx will be an upscale baby boutique. Since we are adopting, and of course shopping for our baby, there are things i want but simply can’t find here. I love the idea of this store and i’m excited to spend money!
Some of what Ilissa and i talked about in creating the logo were: A simple and modern feel, bold and bright colors- getting away from traditional pastels, easily recognizable mark that will be used on bags, tissue, ribbon and tags. Ilissa also wants the logo to stand for what the company will be about. A fun store that will bring unique products to those looking and will be devoted to customer satisfaction.
So, without further ado, i present Binx!
I will keep you posted on the progress of the store, it is truly exciting for Ilissa!
